Recently I accidentally scheduled two meetings at the same time because I overlooked a time-zone switch.
Mistakes happen, right?
Sometimes we need to be patient and forgive ourselves.
Life is Too Short to Worry about Being Perfect
A few years ago, I created a business-oriented YouTube channel which I never intended to be a major hit or to make millions from it (although that'd be nice). My primary goal was for it to be a repository for housing and organizing my business-related video content and brief clips.
A few months ago, my son excitedly showed me a YouTube video he had recorded. It dawned on me that he was using my business account as his personal YouTube channel and changed the name to "Keegan716."
Initially, I was angry with him.
My "perfect" business YouTube channel was now consumed with dogs, annoying dubbed-over videos, and obnoxious screams! My to-do list had a new addition to it: Fix my YouTube channel!!!!
Soon, I realized....Life is too short. My YouTube channel was never going to grow, and I was not really doing anything with it.
Recognizing that he made a mistake, Keegan asked me to take a selfie together and he changed the name of our channel to "Sarah and keegan." And you know what? It's perfectly imperfect and I love it.
Oh, and now I actually have my official YouTube channel created that has the About Firm Focus video and my Speaker Sizzle Reel.
